Tumblers Reports 2010/11

Tumblers Club

The CLandC Tumblers' Club is both a fund raising activity for The Hunt and a chance to celebrate those hardy souls, whose day is often not complete without an unscheduled mudbath.

The Tumblers section is updated after every meet with the latest league standings and a Tumbler's review of the day.

The Tumblers' holy grail is The Empty Stirrup Trophy, awarded to the winner(?) of Tumblers, in other words the person who had the most number of falls.

The Tumblers' season ends with The Tumblers' Party which in recent years has ranged from barn parties to black tie events. Both Tumblers and lay (!) people are invited for an evening of entertainment and prizegiving.

In addition to the proceeds from the end of season party, the fundraising comes in the form of fines for tumbling, the fine for a first tumble is £5 and this increases by £1 per subsequent tumble.

Please remember to send any photos of spectacular falls and tumbles to: speak@clandchunt.co.uk. Successfully capturing these pictures can usually be guaranteed by stealthy positioning, around the various jumps and tricky bits of our hunting country!! Although from bitter experience, tumbling action can usually be seen at The Meet and any point onwards!!
